In May 2008, at the peak of an unhealthy lifestyle, I realized that a change was needed to improve my overall well being. My eating could only be described as overindulging. My physical activity as nonexistent, my physical state as extremely exhausted, and, weighing in at 174 pounds, my 5'9" body was moderately overweight.
Working with Lauren Bahnatka, I began my journey to healthier living through much needed diet and exercise. Her knowledge, skills, and dedication to personal fitness provided me with the necessary help, motivation, and guidance I needed to eat right, train, and develop an overall healthier lifestyle.
Through her recommendations and coaching, I closely followed the Zone Diet at 4 blocks of carbohydrates, fats, and protein daily for each meal, and began running 3-4 times per week, 2-3 miles per run. In only 5 short weeks my energy level increased tremendously and I lost 18 pounds. Since then I have maintained my body weight of 156, have continued healthier dieting, and am in the best shape of my life. Lauren has my utmost, highest recommendation. Her instruction and dedication to improving my well being has greatly enhanced my overall health and fitness.
